Libby Hoagland - Artist
The artworks, which she worked on throughout the pandemic, include imaginary portraits in which women live in harmony with plants and animals, whimsical landscapes in a folk-art style, and abstract compositions on raw canvas that suggest portals to other worlds.
"Each painting is a portal to an imaginal world that lies just beyond the bounds of known reality. I offer my paintings as opportunities to dream into a realm that we occasionally glimpse, but which often remains elusive. Through these images I hope to inspire a deeper understanding of the nature of our dynamic world and our changing places in it. As always, color is my guide."
